I've said Europe. But I voted before I considered Australia. Though, I suppose, I wouldn't really want to be cut off from the rest of the world by expensive travel fees. I wouldn't want to go too far from my European friends
Gotta love all the USA bashing from Americans. It's like they live in a total shithole or something. Count your lucky stars you live in a Western Democracy at all, people. Nothing wrong with wanting to live somewhere else for the benefits, but the grass isn't always greener.
As for me, Western & much of Central Europe, North America (Canada, US) or Australia (and New Zealand) would be the only continents I'd be perfectly content on. Japan would be fine too, as would South Korea. Or any western-influenced Democratic nation.
I definitely wouldn't want to live in Africa, nor the vast majority of continental Asia. South America upward to Mexico would be more preferable to some of those places, I suppose, but still not among my top choices.
I'm living in Canada right now. I want to go to Asia though, cause I'm originally one. I'm an Otaku and I want to see stuff in Japan, China etc. I might want to go to Taiwan cause my friend is an exchange student and she might go back...

I'm rather content living in the United States. It's hard to assume I'd prefer it elsewhere, and I'm sure that my general level of happiness wouldn't change regardless of where I live.
My only problem is the huge amount of prejudice against atheists in the country. It's really difficult to like people when they try to shove their religion in your face and shout things to the like of "Burn the devil-worshipper!"
Atheism rates are increasing, though, so that problem hopefully shouldn't persist forever.
It goes both ways. Atheists I know try to prove to me that god doesn't exist. No matter where you go, there's going to be prudjudice against the group you're in, whether it be atheist, Christian, Muslim, French etc.
In America though, Christians are the most populous religion, and depending on where you live, the amount of Christians might be more concentrated, and/or the Crazy-Psychoness of the Christians might be more extreme...
USA! I mean, we are pretty much guaranteed to be the epicenter of the Apocalypse (whether its Zombies, Terrorism, Civil War, Social Unrest, Cyberpunk Dystopia, Global Warming, Erupting Super volcano, whatever) and I want to be there to see it all go down!
In the event of a zombie apocalypse, the only thing that'll save us is geography. You have to put some turf between yourself and the undead. The survivors will make their way into the Midwest, the breadbasket, we'll sit there and wait it out while the shambling hordes starve and freeze, then move in and kill whatever zeds remain.
I'd like to live in any of the Scandinavian countries. First, though, I'd like to be a transfer student there to get a hang of the language(s). I don't know whether to learn Swedish or Danish at the moment.
