Well, I quite like some iconic tattoos for the art style. I think body art can look cool. I used to think I wanted a tattoo, but I've spent almost 10 years thinking of what I wanted, then decided I'll manage without. Tattoos fade and blur over time, and I can always get temporary ones done whenever I want that would fit a certain occasion. Besides, I could never trust an artist previously unknown to me to draw something permanent on me.
I have two; a butterfly on my left shoulder in memory of my favourite aunt and the words 'Carpe Omnia' on my left wrist, which means 'Seize everything' to remind me that not everything is as bad is it may seem
I have 3. One is on my stomach and it's all hideously stretched out from child pooping (pregnancy) I'm pregnant right now!!! It's very funny and yet so sad. No one warned me that it would turn out so nasty and ugly after having kids...sigh...OH WELL! I'll just keep makin' babies.
My brother and I got matching ones, the Chinese symbols for Brotherhood. Not my first choice but it seemed important to him. He's the one who did them too. Already paid him for my next one, but I still need to iron out the design.
I'd love a tattoo of cherry blossoms down my arm, or of the Dagaz rune on my ankle. The only problem is this: I'm terrified of needles. I voted "Not yet", because for all I know, I COULD get a tattoo someday.
Now that I think about it, I DO have an accidental tattoo on my left hand's thumb. I got anxious and stressed in art class back when I was 15, and I accidentally poked the base of my thumb, where it meets the hand, with a very sharp pencil. It hurt, I was bleeding, and as I washed the cut, the small grey dot stayed, and it is still there today. So, in a way, I do have a tattoo XD.
I have "This too shall pass" on the inside of my left wrist. I have anxiety attacks, so it can be a real life saver sometimes. I kind of want to get a rabbit tattooed on my foot (like on the inside of my heel) but I haven't really nailed down what I want it to look like. I'd really like a tattoo behind my ear, but I don't know what I'd put there
I want one, just one. The Nordic rune "Thurisaz"/"Thorn", which kinda looks like this: |> It's the representation of enthusiasm, proactivity, overcoming obstacles, and the use of the mind body and spirit in the struggle against obstacles (as well as a few lesser attractive qualities :/ ). Those four I named, however, pretty much define who I am. One who takes action in the face of disparity, one who sees an obstacle as a challange to be overcome, and one who is ever enthusiastic in my duty (my parents loved it because I never complained about doing chores as a kid, I relished in the idea of washing windows! ^^' )
NOOOOOOOOOO! I mean, not only do I have a fear of needles that's prevented me from doing so much as getting my ears pierced, but I've heard that getting a tattoo removed (just in case I regret it years later) hurts even more than the tattoo itself. If I were to get one, however, it would be Fluttershy.
