Star Trektacular in 1976 in Pittsburgh, PA Save:1999 Convention 1 in Columbus, Ohio 1979 Save:1999 Convention 2 in Pittsburgh Some unnamed Star Trek circa 1983 Numerous Anthrocons since 2000 in King of Prussia, Philadelphia, and now Pittsburgh, on staff there now Mephit Furmeet 2003 where I was a surprise Guest of Honor at a tribute dinner for work under my fursona along with James Bruner
Once. It was Games Day 2011 in Birmingham. Me and a busload of Warhammer players from the Dublin and Belfast Games Workshop stores made the trip over by ferry on a Saturday night, spend Sunday there, arrived back for Monday morning (a college day no less )
To say the least, kinda sucked... It was so poorly organised, I spend half the day in line to get the limited edition resin kits. That was a nightmare. So crowded you can barely move, the stink of a thousand sweaty nerds filling the air, so much body heat you have to take a swig of your overheated bottled water every few seconds, this going on for hours and hours...
Once I'd gotten my products, I had to take an hour long breather just to get my strength back. After that, none of the events or displays going on wowed me. If I'd had more money, maybe I'd have enjoyed myself a little better.
The high point of the day was getting my hands on a novel regarding the faction I play "The Gildar Rift" several months before its scheduled release date, and getting to meet it's author, talk with her, and get my copy signed. That was great fun.
I've been to all of one convention: Minecon! I went the first year when they were in Las Vegas last year. It was in Paris this year so as you can guess, being in California means i definitely couldn't make that xD
i'v only been to one comic convention in 2010 (which i can't remember the name at the time) and celebs were there and i DIDN'T CARE! WHY DIDN'T I CARE!!!!!
